Korean Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture

What is Korean Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture?

Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture originated in Korea. It is initially used to treat patients with facial nerve paralysis which improves the coordination of facial muscles. Later, it is gradually used in application in the field of medical aesthetics.

This treatment combines traditional Chinese acupuncture meridian point theory with modern western anatomy. It involves the use of extremely fine needles and gentle techniques to stimulate facial acupuncture points, adjusting the skin, muscles, and fascia. This process tightens and plumps the skin, promotes blood and Qi circulation, enhances the 3-dimensional, natural and symmetrical contours of the face.

We use an incredibly thin 0.10mm needle that is thinner than human hair (0.15mm), providing a painless experience. Since the needle width is so small, there is no down time or recovery after the treatment.

Cosmetic Acupuncture works to target common concerns such as fine lines and wrinkles. As we age, our skin loses collagen and elasticity, resulting in these wrinkles and fine lines. This treatment works to promote collagen production, therefore helping to fill in fine lines and leaving the skin with a more youthful and radiant appearance.

Whether you’re looking to hydrate your skin, reduce scarring or soften fine lines and wrinkles, Korean Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture we offered at Sano Wellness is a versatile treatment that can address a variety of common skin concerns at any age or time in your life.

The effectiveness may vary depending on individual constitution and age. Please consult with our TCM Practitioner, Jackie Lin, based on your personal constitution and condition.
