PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Amy Tu, PT

Amy completed her Masters in Physical Therapy at UBC in 2016. Her treatment philosophy aims to empower you to take ownership of your health, to build your body’s resilience, and to learn the tools to optimize your own recovery. She will work alongside you to personalize your treatment experience to  effectively recover from your injury.

Her treatment style will integrate techniques and strategies to address your body as a system to streamline your body’s natural healing capabilities. This includes mobilizing your muscles and joints, restoring the balance of your nervous system, and boosting your circulatory system. She uses a combination of manual therapy techniques, which includes myofascial work, joint mobilization, muscle activation, active release, fascial stretch, and trigger point release, as well as IMS/dry needling. Part of the process will also include exercise training, correction of postural imbalances and compensation patterns to create long lasting change and prevention of future injuries.

Amy enjoys collaborating with you to find sustainable ways to incorporate movement and exercise into your daily routine, as well as habit building for a healthier lifestyle.

She speaks fluent English and Mandarin.

REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST

Caroline Tong, RMT

Caroline completed her 3000-hour massage therapy program at VCMT in 2019. While working in the finance industry, she discovered her passion for human movement through resistance training and yoga. Her treatment approach is fluid and consists a diverse range of therapeutic active techniques with a relaxing flow of traditional Swedish massage techniques. Through this combination of active and passive modalities, her methods facilitate the recalibration of the nervous system, while promoting circulation and release to areas of restriction.
